Every parent wants their baby to have a healthy growth space, but the decoration of the baby room is different from the decoration of the adult's room. There are many places that need to be paid attention to, especially in terms of safety. Those cute furniture and decorations may become a safety hazard.

1. Paint Safe

Check the paint first to make sure there is no release of chemicals. Commonly used paints contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that emit harmful gases and have long-term and short-term adverse effects on human health. Your child may have headaches, dizziness, and eye and respiratory infections. Please check:

The choice of paint is safe for babies;

The paint is not lifted or damaged;

No small pieces of paint peeled off;

Do not hang mirrors on the walls, nor do you recommend choosing furniture with mirrors. It is very dangerous if it falls or the child hits the mirror.

2. Windows

The opening width should be less than 10 cm. Or you can install window rails with an interval of 8-9 cm to prevent children from falling through the window;

It's best not to use large areas of glass for windows, because you can't be sure that the glass can bear the child's weight;

The latch or opening handle of the window needs to be opened with the strength of an adult;

The pull wire of the decoration on the window must be out of the reach of young children, which is one of the reasons for suffocation.

3. Door

Place a door stop under the door to prevent the door from closing automatically or catching the child's hand when the door closes suddenly due to strong winds;

The door handle has no sharp angle;

The door lock should be opened from outside the room at any time, preferably from the inside of the room.

Finally, it's a good idea to install a baby safety gate.

4. Bed

The crib must be secure with no missing or loose parts. All bolts pass through nuts and are not loose;

The slats are no more than 6 cm apart, and if a can of soda can fit in, there is a chance that the child's head will get stuck;

The mattress is just put in, and there is no more than two fingers can reach the distance between the bedside and the bed. Any surface of the bed is smooth without sharp corners.
